REACH Text Alerts

What REACH Alerts are
REACH Alerts is a text message program operated by The e-four Corporation for student-athletes who use REACH. It is a backup to the notifications in the REACH app, for athletes who prefer a text or who have app notifications turned off.
We send text alerts only about the athlete's own REACH account:
- A college coach replied to the athlete
- A drafted message to a coach is waiting for the athlete's approval
- A camp, visit, or application deadline the athlete saved is coming up
- A reply to a question the athlete asked their parent in REACH
- Important notices about the athlete's account
We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never send texts on behalf of colleges, coaches, or anyone else.
How to opt in
Text alerts are off by default. A parent or guardian approves the REACH account and accepts our terms. The athlete opts in from their own REACH login, in either of two places:
- A card titled “Text me when a coach replies” that appears once in the athlete's Discover feed, between schools
- Me, then Text alerts, at any time
Both show the same thing: the athlete's own mobile number (filled in from the number they signed in with, which they can change), an unchecked consent box with the wording below, and a “Turn on text alerts” button. Nothing is sent unless the athlete checks the box and taps the button. We then send one confirmation text. We never add a phone number to REACH Alerts that the athlete did not enter or confirm themselves.
The box is unchecked by default. Text alerts stay off unless the athlete checks it and taps the button. "No thanks" leaves text alerts off.

Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with the athlete's recruiting activity, typically up to 5 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any REACH text at any time to cancel. We will send one message confirming you are unsubscribed and then send no further texts. You can also turn text alerts off in Me, then Text alerts. To rejoin, turn text alerts back on in the app.

Privacy
