How much do college recruiting services cost?
College recruiting services range from free to several thousand dollars. The price usually tracks one thing: how much of the work a person does for you. Here is what each type costs and what you get.

Free profiles and directories
Free tiers let you build a profile and browse schools. Coaches rarely search these profiles on their own, so a free profile works best when you also reach out yourself.
Self-serve subscriptions: about $10 to $80 a month
Monthly platforms give you search tools, coach contact lists and email templates. You do the outreach. The cost adds up over the two or three years most families spend recruiting.
Club-based platforms: a few hundred dollars a year
Many club teams license a recruiting platform for their players, especially in volleyball, lacrosse and soccer. Ask your club before you pay for one yourself.
Advisor packages: often $1,000 to several thousand dollars
Full-service companies pair you with a recruiting advisor and promote you to coaches. Prices are usually not listed and are quoted on a sales call, often for a contract that runs through high school. Many send templated emails to large lists of coaches.
Questions to ask before you pay
- Is the full price on the website, or only on a sales call?
- Does every coach get a personal email, or the same template?
- Do emails come from my address, so replies come to me?
- Will I see which schools actually fit me, and why?
- Can my parent see every message?
- Can I cancel, and what happens to my contacts if I do?
- Does anyone promise a scholarship? (No honest service can.)
What REACH costs
REACH is free to start: swipe as many schools as you like and see your fit % on every one. Full access is the Recruiting Pass at $449 once, good through graduation, or $39 a month. That includes unlimited coach emails written for each team in your voice, replies and follow-ups in one place, and a parent view of every message. The price is on the website, and there is no sales call.
Questions
Are recruiting services worth it?
It depends on what you need. If you need help finding schools where you fit and getting in front of their coaches, a service can save a lot of time. No service can guarantee a roster spot or a scholarship.
Can I get recruited without paying for a service?
Yes. Many athletes find schools and email coaches on their own. It takes time: researching programs, finding the right coach and writing a personal email to each one.
